Dr. Matthew Webb, OD was born in February of 1978 in Toledo, Ohio. Since the age of 3, Dr. Webb grew up in Colorado where he would eventually complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Prior to completing his education, Dr. Webb joined the United States Army in November of 2000. He graduated from the Army Aviation and Logistics school as the Distinguished Honor Graduate and also received an enlisted certificate of achievement for his efforts during training. Dr. Webb was deployed to combat in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom where he earned several awards including the Army Commendation award for taking the initiative to oversee and ensure the steadfast operational readiness of his unit. After an honorable discharge from the Army in May of 2007, Dr. Webb was accepted to the University of Houston College of Optometry where he completed his doctorate of optometry in 2011. Dr. Webb has received extensive training in ophthalmic surgery co-management and is a certified optometric glaucoma specialist. He practices full scope optometry to include routine eye exams, diabetic eye exams, minor surgical procedures, and contact lens fitting. Dr. Webb has a wife of 11 years and 3 children, two boys and one girl ages 10, 8, and 7 respectively. Dr. Webb is an avid golfer, and also enjoys building scale models of aircraft and spending time with his family.
